Beautiful natural Olive green Peridot set in a stylish sterling silver ring.
This stone is a checkerboard cushion cut Peridot which has been claw set.
My partner bought this stone back from Tuscon, Arizona earlier this year, which is one of the worlds largest producers of Peridot in the world. lucky me :-)
Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color: basically an olive green.
The intensity and tint of the green however depends on how much iron is contained in the crystal structure, so the color of individual Peridot gem can vary from yellow-green through olive green to brownish green.
